Story
is CTE Month! Explore CTE course options for career-connected learning at www.fwps.org/CTE.
Did you know FWPS offers CTE courses at both the middle and high school levels? CTE courses enable students to explore various career interests and gain relevant industry knowledge and experience before graduating high school. Even more, many high school CTE courses offer dual credit, which means students can earn college credits or industry recognized credentials while earning their high school diploma!
In high school, CTE courses are organized by six Programs of Study. These programs include focus areas, called career clusters. There are a total of 16 career clusters within the following Programs of Study:
· Agriculture Education
· Business and Marketing
· Family and Consumer Sciences
· Health Sciences
· Skilled and Technical Sciences
· STEM
Some popular CTE courses include Robotics, Principles of Biomedical Science, Intro to Computer Science and Game Design, and Culinary Arts, among many others.
