We’re thrilled to recognize the outstanding schools and student teams honored by King County’s Green Schools Program from the 2023-24 school year! These schools have demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting sustainability within their communities.

A big congratulations to the scholars from Camelot Elementary, TAF@Saghalie, and Thomas Jefferson High School for earning Student Green Team recognition this past June!

In addition, Camelot Elementary has been recognized as a Sustaining Green School for advancing their environmental efforts, and TAF@Saghalie for achieving Level Three Green School status with a focus on water conservation.

This summer, the Thomas Jefferson High School Math Team took 44 students to Las Vegas for the 52nd annual Mu Alpha Theta National Math Convention to compete. High-achieving students from the top schools all over the country participated in this convention. Thomas Jefferson continues its streak for their 28th consecutive convention placing in the top 10 schools in the nation.

Congratulations to the Thomas Jefferson High School Math Team for placing 7th overall among all schools in the Sweepstakes competition and to all our scholars that placed individually! We would also like to recognize scholar and National Champion, Titus Kim, who placed 1st in the nation in the Mu Chalk Talk division, with an oral presentation of Math and Profitability!
